26 Degrees Recognised among Australia's Best Places to Work

We're proud that 26 Degrees has once again been recognised as one of Australia's leading employers!

What makes a great workplace?

According to The Australian’s Best Places to Work awards, it’s more than competitive salaries or workplace perks. The organisations that stand out are those where employees are genuinely engaged, supported and happy, creating cultures that drive stronger business outcomes.

We’re proud that 26 Degrees has once again been recognised as one of Australia’s leading employers, receiving recognition across three categories in the 2026 Australian Best Places to Work awards:

  • Top 10 high-flyers (medium sized firms 50-249 employees)
  • Best places to work for women – Highly commended
  • Financial services – Highly commended

These results reflect our commitment to building a workplace where people feel empowered to grow, collaborate and perform at their best.

CEO Gavin White, holding a copy a copy of the 2026 Australian's Best Places to Work
''This recognition is especially rewarding because it comes directly from our people.

We've always believed that when you invest in your people, create opportunities for them to grow and foster a culture built on trust and collaboration, good things follow.

We're proud of what we've built at 26 Degrees, but we're equally excited about continuing to raise the bar as we grow."

Group Chief Executive Officer

Powered by WorkL, the awards are based on anonymous employee feedback across six key drivers of workplace engagement:

  • Reward and recognition
  • Information sharing
  • Empowerment
  • Wellbeing
  • Instilling pride
  • Job satisfaction

For us, that’s what makes this recognition particularly meaningful. The results come from the people who experience our culture every day, not simply from how we describe it.

Building a Culture Where People Thrive

At 26 Degrees, we’ve always believed our greatest competitive advantage is our people.

It shapes how we recruit and develop talent, design our workplace, support wellbeing and create opportunities for long-term career growth.

Our hybrid working model provides employees with the flexibility to balance work and life while maintaining the collaboration that comes from spending meaningful time together.

One thing I’ve appreciated most since joining 26 Degrees is its supportive environment.
Colleagues are always willing to share their knowledge, offer guidance and encourage each other’s development.

That, combined with a strong social culture, creates an environment where people genuinely enjoy working together.

We’re equally committed to developing future leaders. More than 60% of our Sydney team is under the age of 30, and 30% is under the age of 25. With such a young team, mentorship, hands-on experience and genuine opportunities for progression are central to how we help people build their careers.

That commitment is reflected in our own employee feedback. In our 2025 employee survey:

  • 98% of Australian employees said 26 Degrees is a great place to work.
  • 100% said management operates with honesty and ethical business practices

Investing in the Next Generation

That focus on development also extends to people taking their first steps into financial markets. Our paid Finance FastTrack Internship Program has become one of Australia’s leading financial markets internship programs, giving university students practical exposure to global markets, mentorship from experienced professionals and meaningful industry experience.

In 2025, we received 447 applications within one week from university students across the country. That level of interest speaks to the program’s reputation, but the aim remains to give talented students a genuine start in the industry

Investing in Wellbeing

Employees have access to a range of initiatives designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing, including an on-site gym, weekly sporting competitions, private Pilates sessions, social activities and a global Employee Assistance Program delivered through MindFit. The program provides confidential counselling and training courses which are accessible to employees across our global offices.

Our Sydney headquarters is not your typical financial services office. Alongside a range of working and collaborative areas, it includes a dedicated wellness and leisure floor with a gym, golf simulator, basketball hoop, cricket pitch and table tennis facilities. It also features premium end-of-trip facilities and dedicated prayer and reflection rooms.

Regular team adventures and off-site experiences continue to strengthen relationships across the business while encouraging personal growth and collaboration. Recent adventures have included abseiling and e-biking through the Blue Mountains, a night out at URBNSURF, as well as an overnight camping trip in Glenworth Valley.

Looking Ahead

Being recognised again is something worth celebrating. It also gives us a standard to maintain and another reason to keep improving. As our offices continue to grow across Sydney, London, Limassol and Tokyo, we’ll continue investing in our people, creating opportunities for development and building a culture where talented individuals want to stay, contribute and grow.
