26 Degrees launches Japanese Equity CFDs

The launch gives broker clients access to Japanese Equity CFDs amid heightened volatility and growing trader demand.

26 Degrees has engaged the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) for redistribution of derived Equities data, allowing broker clients to trade an expanded range of Japanese Equity CFDs and making 26 Degrees one of very few Prime of Primes to provide this access via API.

The launch comes amid a period of pronounced market activity in Japan with the Nikkei 225 rising over 120% and reaching a record high in June before retreating nearly 15% from its peak.

More recently, intervention from the BOJ combined with the US treasury* has driven a sharp rally in the yen and has further heightened volatility. The scale and speed of those moves have intensified trader interest, making product breadth increasingly important for brokers responding to client demand.

The new TSE derived data package complements 26 Degrees’ existing Japan 225 and Japan 2000 Index CFDs and 17 JPY FX pairs, giving brokers broader access across Japanese equities, indices and FX through a single API.

“Few markets have commanded the same level of attention as Japan over the past year. The combination of a sustained rally, sharp reversals and renewed activity across currency markets has created clear demand from traders for more ways to participate in the Japanese market.

For brokers, that means having the product breadth to respond. Our Japanese Equity CFD offering gives clients access to Japanese Equity CFDs alongside the Index and FX products they already trade through us."

Broader global Equity and ETF CFD coverage

Introduced to broker clients in 2019, 26 Degrees’ Equity and ETF CFD offering has continued to expand across markets, trading hours and execution capabilities.

Today, it spans 44 global markets and includes 16-hour trading on US Equity CFDs across the pre-market, regular session and post-market, supported by the Cboe One Feed. When 23-hour exchange access becomes available in Q4 2026, 26 Degrees broker clients will be able to trade US Equity CFDs across the full 23-hour session from day one.

Broker clients can also access a suite of Equity execution algorithms, including VWAP, TWAP, Percentage of Volume, Auction and Liquidity Seeking strategies. These tools provide greater flexibility over how orders are executed, allowing clients to respond to market opportunities while retaining control over their trading.
